Q&A
1. How will you show your readers that your project - your focus - is a part of some larger issue?
In order to show the audience that this is a part of a bigger issue, I will have to remind them about the current problem which is the high rate of unemployment among Black graduates. I will have to remind them briefly of the statistics, which will not be necessarily stipulated in the body of the research. I will have to remind them about the negative impact that the country will face should the government fail to uphold their promises. Therefore, I will link the past to the current and also bringing in the possibilities of the future.
2. If I were to write the final sentence of my project right now, what would it be?
My final sentence would be: The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa is clear in that all economic prospects of each individual, including those of a Black graduate, are important and should be protected by all.
3. Why? (Refer to point 2)
It is important for the current government to remember the promises which they made to the people of South Africa when they wanted to lobby for votes. With the Constitutional reference, the government must take note of how they are not fulfilling the legislation obligation.
For example: when a governmental member takes a new position, one takes an oath, promising to respect and follow the Constitution as it is presented. Therefore, when one takes the oath only to go against it, the spectators such as the Black graduates will lose all confidence in that member.
4. How would your conclusion build to this final sentence?
I would briefly elaborate on the manifesto that the ANC political party presented in order to gain votes. I would highlight the promises they made to Black children in South Africa. I would link this to the Constitution of the Republic and what it stands for. Finally, I would close with the above mentioned sentence.
The reason I would bring up their manifesto is to reinstate their promises, which have now become lies in the eyes of a Black graduate. To use one’s own words to highlight their contrast is effect and credible as it reminds them of their own outstanding actions.
