Q&A
1. Foreseeable most challenging aspect of the project proposal
A proposal is meant to convince the reader that there exists a problem, which needs a solution. The aim is to have the relevant individuals learn about the project, which means I should find ways to draw traffic to the website. Therefore, the challenge would be to get more views/traffic to the website.
2. Why (in relation to the above)?
It is useless to make research for a certain audience that does not use the platform in which the solutions are provided. For example, if the challenge persisted, I would have to advertise the current website by linking it to other internet related platforms so as to achieve the maximum desired viewership.
3. Foreseeable most challenging aspect of the larger project. Why?
Data sifting is expected to be a challenge. There are a lot of data available; however, not all data is relevant and credible. It is, therefore, important when conducting research to know which data to keep or discard. This process can be tricky due to the instability of the economy and/or inflation, which can have a huge impact in the research should there be even a slight change. For example, if in the next couple of months, the economy improved drastically, or a law that enforced institutions to employ all black graduates was introduced, there would be no timely bases or grounds for the project.
4. How can - in practical terms - the challenges described above be addressed?
The method that will be used in this project to ensure that the expected challenges do not affect the project is to keep abreast of what is happening in the South African economy. This will require constant learning, including updates of governmental announcements or improvements with regards to labour and its market. Additionally, because statistics are prone to change, it is important to recalculate the probabilities as changes happen and use alternative plans to complete the mission. For example, if I had calculated a probability for the government to improve the current unemployment status of black graduates to be at 3%, and suddenly, there was a factor that influenced the South African labour market, this would require a recalculation, which would allow the project to reflect true and reliable data, also excluding all biases.
