Q&A
The potential discourse communities this project is for?
This project is written for the South African labour community. The labour force in South Africa includes both the employed and unemployed individuals. The unemployed individuals are defined as a population that is economically inactive. For example, on the other hand, active labour force are those who are actively employed and those that are actively seeking employment.

The other group that is affected are the governmental bodies because they are the decision-makers when it comes to labour issues in South Africa. They have the power to change rules and ensure that black graduates are considered; they can also influence the existing labour laws, challenge placed policies, or introduce new ways that labour can be influenced in this country.
How might the discourse communities described above affect how the project inquiry is conducted?
It is important for the targeted discourse community to engage with the public, the author, and other valuable stakeholders. In addition, they can use the findings from this research to make informed choices in ensuring that the future of black graduates is not wasted. They can interact by planning for change, especially since it has been 23 years since South Africa regained its freedom from the apartheid government and its followers. For example, in projects, planning is one of the first steps that is suggested for effect project execution; therefore, planning with informed views is also important.
What will count as “evidence” with the selected audience?
Statistics have shown that there is a need for the targeted discourse community to take action and be aware of the realities of the labour market in south Africa. A decreasing rate of unemployment among the black graduates in South Africa will count as evidence for all parties and stakeholders involved in the process. For example, if the reports show a decreased rate in unemployment and an increased rate of employed black graduates in South Africa by 2019, then, the aim of this research would have been met.
How might the discourse communities described above affect the composition of texts directed at them as an audience?
In writing this report, I will produce statistics and facts about the current employment situation in South Africa. Also, in doing so, I will calculate the probability of a change in labour statistics that is expected by the year 2019. This attempt is aimed at showing the governmental bodies the difference that their actions can make if the suggestions and facts from this project are taken into consideration. For example, the South African market is usually influenced by statistics. Numbers in business speak volumes; therefore, with relevant statistics and research that prove the claims made in this research, it will be easy to prove the results as credible, also resulting in the audience being affected accordingly.
